The Streaming Giant Casts Ideal Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3

The Secret Organization is geared up to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the major clash won’t take place until the third season, and a cherished, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared recently that Cole Escola is now part of the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Mr. 2. This character possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of any person they’ve touched with their dominant hand. The actor, who is non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that role re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and anime.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, featuring chief Sir Crocodile, brought to life by the seasoned performer, Sophia Anne Caruso as another operative, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.

Though the role is a important part of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given season 2 expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for penning and acting in the popular theatrical show Oh Mary!, highlighting the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised characters.

Netflix's live-action One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
